Victoria Lies is a Canadian metalcore band pushing the boundaries of the genre with intense, narrative-driven lyrics, heavy grooves, and graceful technicality. By integrating theatrical elements and actors with dynamic, cross-genre melodies, the band delivers a fresh and compelling sound.

Originally formed in 2023, the quintet features vocalist Brett Hetherington, drummer James Cuncannon, guitarists Chris Koehler and Rory Fitzsimmons, and bassist Jay Powell.

Their most recent singles “Red” (July 2026), “Weaving Webs” (August 2026), and “Truth & Sugar” (October 2026) have garnered thousands of plays across streaming platforms, serving as a bombastic introduction to their upcoming full-length debut, Vendetta.

Driven to connect with audiences through electrifying live performances, the band has taken the stage across Alberta, including their hometown of Calgary. Notable appearances include Gatorfest II (Calgary), Decimate Metalfest (Millet), and Serenade Metalfest (Edmonton).

Vendetta arrives on October 30, 2026, celebrated with a massive hometown album release show at Festival Hall designed to pull the audience directly into the Victoria Lies universe!
